【摘要】:Thispracticecanbeusedbypaintformulatorstodetermineifagivenpainthastheabilitytoformafilmatlowtemperatures.Thispracticecanbeusedasanaidfordeterminingcoalescingsolventlevelrequiredtoformagoodfilm.TestMethodD3793comparestheporosityofafilmdrawndownatroomtemperaturetoanotherfilmdrawndownandcuredatlowtemperature.Thispracticeprovidesnoabsoluteinformation,ratherrankingonlyoftheselectedseriesofpaints.Thispracticecanprovideapass-failsituationifknownacceptableandunacceptablepaintsareincludedinthetest.1.1Thispracticespecifiesalaboratoryprocedureforevaluatingtheabilityofalatexpainttoformauniformfilmfreeofvisibledefectsatlowtemperatures.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
