【摘要】:Thistestmethodoffersameansofcomparingtherelativelinearshrinkageandcoefficientofthermalexpansion.4.1.1Thematerialtobetestedisplacedinthemoldinafluidorplasticstate.Asthematerialmakesatransitiontoasolidstate,itadherestoandcapturestheendstuds.4.1.2Thelinearshrinkagemeasuredisthechangeinlengththatoccursafterthematerialisrigidenoughandstrongenoughtomovethestuds.Thistestmethodcanbeusedforresearchpurposestoprovideinformationonlinearchangestakingplaceinthetestmaterials.Otherdimensionalchangesmayoccurthatdonotmanifestthemselvesaschangesinlength.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthelinearshrinkageduringsettingandcuringandthecoefficientofthermalexpansionmaterials.1.2Abarofsquarecross-sectioniscasttoaprescribedlength.Thechangeinlengthiscalculatedandshowninpercent.Thechangeinlengthataspecificelevatedtemperatureismeasuredandusedtocalculatethecoefficientofthermalexpansion.1.3Thistestmethodislimitedtomaterialswithaggregatesizeof0.25in.(6mm)orless.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
