【摘要】:ThispracticeisintendedtoensurethatSRBsareproducedandevaluatedbyastandardprocedure.ThispracticeistobeusedtoestablishtheaveragephysicochemicalpropertiesofasetofcarbonblackstobeusedasSRBs.ThecarbonblackgradestobeusedasSRBsshouldbeselectedtogiveasmuchcoverageofthetypicalusagerangeforeachtestandasnearlyevenlyspacedacrosstherangeaspossible.Typically,thecarbonblackgradesselectedconsistofthreetread(hard)typefurnacegrades(designatedA,B,andC),threecarcass(soft)typefurnacegrades(designatedD,E,andF),andonethermaltypegrade(designatedG).SubcommitteeD24.61mayelecttocarryoneormoreoftheexistingSRBsintothenextsetprovidedthereisenoughremainingmaterialattherateofusagetolastthroughtheexpectedlifeofthenextset.LimitingthechoiceofgradestobeusedmeansthatnotalltestswillhaveanSRBsetthatisevenlyspacedacrosstherangeofinterest.AlltheSRBcandidatesareproducedatapproximatelythesametimebythevariousproducers.Theyareusedasasetoncetheyareapproved.Thesetsareconsecutivelynumbered.ValuesandidentificationforthecurrentsetaregiveninGuideD4821.AnySRBscarriedforwardwillberenumberedforthenewset.1.1ThispracticecoversguidelinesfortheproductionandtestingforuniformityofasetofcarbonblackstobeusedasStandardReferenceBlacks(SRBs).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
