【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedasasolutiontothedifficultyofobtainingreproducibletestresultsfromheterogeneoussamples.Thispracticeworksbestwithmultilayeredliquids,butcanalsobeappliedtosampleswithsolidparticlesthataresufficientlysmallinsizetobesuspendedinanemulsion.Theemulsified/suspendedsamplecanbeusedforallbulkpropertytestingsuchasmicrowavedigestion/inductivelycoupledargonplasma(ICAP),ionchromatography,heatofcombustion,ashcontent,water,nonvolatileresidue,andpH.Itmaybeprudenttoretainaportionofthesampleinitsoriginal,multiphaseformforsometypesofanalyses.FIG.1SampleSplitterFunnel1.1Thispracticecoversthegenerationofasingle-phasesuspensionoremulsionfrommultiphasesampleswhichareprimarilyliquidinordertofacilitatesamplepreparation,transfer,andanalysis.1.2Thispracticeisdesignedtokeepamultiphasefluidsampleinanemulsified/suspendedstatelongenoughtotakeasingle,compositesamplethatisrepresentativeofthesampleasawhole.Thesamplemayreformmultiplelayersafterstanding.1.3Theemulsion/suspensiongeneratedbyfollowingthispracticecanbeusedonlyforanalyticalproceduresdesignedforthetotalsampleandproceduresnotsignificantlyaffectedbytheemulsifierorthepresenceofanemulsion/suspension.1.4Thispracticeassumesthatarepresentativesampleofnotmorethanonelitrehasbeenobtained.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
