【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversnucleargradeuraniumhexafluoride(UF6)thateitherhasbeenprocessedthroughanenrichmentplant,orhasbeenproducedbytheblendingofHighlyEnrichedUraniumwithotheruraniumtoobtainuraniumofany235Uconcentrationbelow5%andthatisintendedforfuelfabrication.Theobjectivesofthisspecificationaretwofold:(1)TodefinetheimpurityanduraniumisotopelimitsforEnrichedCommercialGradeUF6sothat,withrespecttofueldesignandmanufacture,itisessentiallyequivalenttoenricheduraniummadefromnaturalUF6;and(2)TodefinelimitsforEnrichedReprocessedUF6tobeexpectedifReprocessedUF6istobeenrichedwithoutdilutionwithCommercialNaturalUF6.ForsuchUF6,specialprovisions,notdefinedherein,maybeneededtoensurefuelperformanceandtoprotecttheworkforce,processequipment,andtheenvironment.1.2ThisspecificationisintendedtoprovidethenuclearindustrywithastandardforenrichedUF6thatistobeusedintheproductionofsinterableUO2powderforfuelfabrication.Inadditiontothisspecification,thepartiesconcernedmayagreetootherappropriateconditions.1.3Thescopeofthisspecificationdoesnotcomprehensivelycoverallprovisionsforpreventingcriticalityaccidentsorrequirementsforhealthandsafetyorforshipping.Observanceofthisspecificationdoesnotrelievetheuseroftheobligationtoconformtoallapplicableinternational,federal,state,andlocalregulationsforprocessing,shipping,orinanyotherwayusingUF6(see,forexample,TID-7016,DP-532,andDOEO474.1).1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
